Finance Accountant Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Accountant to join our growing finance team. As a Finance Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, contributing to the overall financial health and stability of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flow.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all entries.
- Perform monthly and year-end closing procedures.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts.
- Prepare journal entries and accruals.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze budget variances and provide explanations for discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Process invoices and payments.
- Monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue payments.
- Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations (e.g., GAAP).
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Document and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide support to other members of the finance team as needed.

Qualifications:
